Outing outside Cannobio

Cannobio is a town with 5,000 people located in an area that was populated as far back as the Roman period. Today this international tourist destination lets tourists spend their holidays on Lake Maggiore in complete relaxation, between a sailboat outing and a tour of the Sunday street market. However, if you'd like to visit other towns, there are many to choose from.

Stopping in Oggebbio

Heading south along the lake, it takes just 20 minutes by car to get to the little town of Oggebbio. This is the widest stretch of the lake. You can almost see the entire length of it at a glance. It’s a privileged view that can’t be found anywhere else. In addition to the many water sports enjoyed here, there are also nearby ski slopes in Piancavallo, a town worth visiting for its fabulous view alone.

The natural beauties in Premeno

If you take provincial road 56 from Piancavallo and travel through Manegra, you’ll be in Premeno after 10 km. The natural beauties in this little town will amaze you. It is seemingly floating between green fields and the conifers surrounding it. Once you’re in town, make sure to visit valuable Villa Bernocchi and enjoy the charming view of Lake Maggiore from this exceptional location.

To return to Cannobio, simply travel towards Ghiffa and head back up the lake.
