Golf on Lago Maggiore

Lake Maggiore is surrounded by luxuriant vegetation thanks to the beneficial and mitigating influence of the large body of water. This certainly favoured the installation of several local golf courses which allow enthusiasts to enjoy an incomparable experience thanks to the fantastic scenario of Lake Maggiore.

Enthusiasts have many choices to choose from: golf courses are along the entire lake. From Novara to Arona, Varese, Stresa up to the Swiss part in Ascona and Locarno: players are spoilt for choice. There are 5 facilities in Milan: Golf Club Le Robinie, Golf Club Arona, Golf Club Castelconturbia, Golf Club Bogogno and lastly Golf Club Novara.

The golf clubs on the west shore

The Golf Club Alpino di Gignese and Golf Club Des Iles Borromees are on Stresa's high grounds between Stresa and Lake Orta, the latter being a sportsman’s delight with a charming view of the Borromean Islands.

If you drive north alongside Lake Maggiore, first you come across the Golf Club Verbania on Lake Mergozzo and then, on the high grounds of the county town, the Golf Club Piandisole alpine club located at the gateway of the Val Grande National Park (the largest wilderness area in the Alps and Italy).

The golf clubs on the east shore

If you prefer the other coast, consider the courses near Lake Monate and Lake Varese.
The Golf Club dei Laghi and the European Golf Club Ispra (open year-round) are close to the homonymous town and Lake Monate.

The Golf Club Varese and Panorama Golf Varese are set against Lake Varese.
